Savannah Rohrich/Lippert (January 2025)

Amount: $2,500

Program: Paramedic at School of EMS, Tyler, TX

Savannah is employed by Ashley, ND Medical Center and Ambulance. She’s worked there for 4 1/2 years as has training as an RA, CNA and EMT. Savannah started in EMS when she was only 15 years old, before graduated from Strasburg High School, ND and attending Bismarck State College. She is a mother of a young son and works full-time while attending paramedic training. Savannah is an active member of her church and enjoys outdoor activities with her family.

Jennifer Feist (January 2025)

Amount: $2,500

Program: Paramedic at School of EMS, Sioux Falls, SD

Jennifer is employed by the Linton, ND Regional Medical Center as a CNA. Prior to that, she worked at the Strasburg Care Center. She has training as an EMT, CNA and CNAII. Jennifer graduated from Wishek High School, ND and has worked for both the Wishek and the Emmons County Ambulance Service. The Emmons County ALS Ambulance is short staffed, like most rural ambulance services, and this will allow Jennifer to be certified as a Paramedic and help out the people of Emmons County get the emergency medical care that they need. Jennifer enjoys taking walks and playing with her American Eskimo dogs.

Catherine Jahner (January 2025)

Amount: $4,500

Program: Nursing at Arkansas State University, Beebe, AR

Catherine graduated early from Cabot, AR High School in December of 2024 and will begin college in January 2025 to pursue her passion in nursing. She is already certified in EMR, CPR, BLS and CNA. During high school, she worked at Greystone Country Club and was active in the ROTC Program. Catherine currently works at Greystone Nursing and Rehab.

Kaylee Wesolowski (January 2024)

Amount: $2,000

Program: Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) at Braxton College, Fort Myers, FL

Kaylee grew up in a small town in New Jersey. When she moved to West Palm Beach, FL in high school, she found a passion to want to help others. Kaylee attended college and received a bachelor's degree in health science and obtained her EMT license in hope to help gain experience for Physician’s Assistant school. After learning about her health diagnoses and getting sick upon graduation, she wanted to help more people and serve her community at a higher level of care as a first line of treatment - knowing how it feels to be on the patient side. 

LUIS RAMOS MANCERA (January 2023)

Amount: $2,325

Program: EMT Course, Florida Fire State College, Marion Technical College, Ocala, FL

Luis received our scholarship to attend the Firefighter Course. He graduated, passed the exam and is now a certified Fire Fighter!

MICHAEL OMULET (July 2021)

Amount: $1,000

Program: EMT, Firefighter I & II and Associates in Fire Science Technology at Braxton College, Bonita Springs, FL

Michael works fulltime while attending school to support his family after his father’s untimely death. He enjoys sports and plays in a men’s baseball league with the Tampa Storm. As a volunteer, Michael worked with the Sheriff’s Youth Ranch, Tarpon Springs Aquarium and the Morton Plant Mease Assisted Living Facility. After training, Michael wants to serve his community and attain a leadership position at a fire station.

JONATHAN RAUSS (January 2020)

Amount: $1,100 for bunker/turnout gear and air pack

Program: Firefighter I & II at Braxton College, Bonita Springs, FL

Jonathan is working toward his EMT certification and has dreams of becoming a full-time Firefighter.  He has fought extreme adversity and survived many hardships his whole life. Jonathan graduated high school with a 3.7 GPA and was a standout football player and coach.  He strives to help others and his community.

NELSON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE (June 2023)

Amount: $2,000

Program: K-9 Raith & K9 Handler Training

The Nelson County Sheriff’s Department (North Dakota) added a K-9 to their force. The Belgian Malinois was in training when the donation was made; however, she has joined the force in 2024. This donation will help them train K-9 Raith and the K-9 Handler.

Jordan’s father, Steve, served in Iraq with Sheriff Schwind in 2007-2008. We wish the best to the K-9, K-9 Handler, Sheriff Schwind and the residents of Nelson County, North Dakota.

LUIS RAMOS MANCERA (July 2022)

Amount: $1,500

Program: Firefighter, Florida Fire State College, Marion Technical College, Ocala, FL

Luis is a native of Naples, FL. He dedicated most of his youth to sports, family and friends. Luis has experience working in the restaurant and car businesses. He always works hard to achieve his goals and is searching for a different endeavor in his life, something more meaningful with purpose. Luis found that calling in EMT and Firefighting to help others.

CODY FITZKO (August 2020)

Amount: $1,000

Program: Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) at Braxton College, Bonita Springs, FL

Cody has been working in the Air Conditioning industry for eight years. He is a man of integrity and looks up to First Responders as heroes. He plans to attend the Firefighter Course after completing his EMT Course. Cody wants to help his community and build a strong family while doing so.

ERIN MILLER (January 2020)

Amount: $1,000

Program: Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) at Florida Southwestern State College, Fort Myers, FL

Erin earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of West Florida.  She served 6 years in the Florida Army National Guard.  Erin’s goal is to become a Physician’s Assistant (PA) and getting EMT certification and experience will move her toward that goal.

Cornelius (Connie) McGillicuddy (April 2023)

Amount: $1,500

Program: Firefighter/EMT Course, Marion Technical College, Ocala, FL

Cornelius grew up with his mom, sister and grandmother. They lived in a community with a lot of elderly people and he often saw paramedics and firefiighters respond to emergencies. This made him wanted to be a firefighter and give back to his community. Connie wants to help others.

JONATHAN ANGELO (January 2022)

Amount: $1,500

Program: Paramedic Program at Braxton College, Fort Myers, FL

Jonathan is a five-year fire fighter/EMT employed by the city of Cape Coral, FL. His EMT experience includes 2 1/2 years with Ambitrans Medical Transportation. Jonathan attended Florida Southwestern University and enjoys softball, boating, pickleball, working out and hanging out with his family. We are honored to select him as our first scholarship toward the Paramedic Program!

ALFONZO CHURCHWELL (August 2020)

Amount: $1,000 (Additionally, Braxton College is awarding Alfonzo $1,500 in memory of Jordan Jahner)

Program: Firefighter I & II at Braxton College, Bonita Springs, FL

Alfonzo is working toward his dream of becoming a full-time Firefighter to help his community. He has fought adversity his whole life and volunteered to speak to elementary students about staying on the right path in life. Alfonzo was an outstanding football player and loves fishing.

NICHOLAS FERCHO (March 2023)

Amount: $3,000

Program: Paramedic Technology Program, Bismarck State College, Bismarck, ND

Nicholas received his EMT training in 2019 and began serving as a volunteer EMT for the Emmons County Advanced Life Support ambulance which covers approximately 1,500 square miles. In May of 2022 he became a full-time EMT and plans to complete his paramedic training in July of this year. Nicholas plans to stay in area to serve the residents of the small communities.

JENISE YANES (August 2021)

Amount: $1,000

Program: EMT at Braxton College, Bonita Springs, FL

Jenise already has a Basic Life Saver (BLS) Certificate and is excited to contribute to her community in the medical field. She is a second generation American with strong ties to her Latin roots and she strives to make her mother and sisters proud. She is hopeful for her future and willing to work hard to attain her goals. Her hobbies include fitness, volleyball and reading.

ALEX IVANISEVIC (January 2021)

Amount: $1,000

Program: Firefighter I & II at Braxton College, Bonita Springs, FL

Alex is currently a sales consultant for a seafood company. He grew up in a small town East of Chicago and has always wanted to help others as a Chef or Firefighter. He graduated from Le Cordon Bleu Chicago School of Culinary, was a sous chef and managed his own kitchen. Now, he pursues his dream of becoming a Firefighter as he finishes EMT Course and enrolls in Firefighter training.
